In the five years since the Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, it’s become apparent that the Royal couple aren’t planning on having any more children. But that hasn’t stopped Kate from feeling broody from time to time, and even talking about a potential baby number four in recent years.
In her line of work, the 41 year old meets a lot of youngsters and babies, and already being a mother of three, has a natural maternal instinct that is so clearly obvious. All you need to do is look at some of the photographs that have been published of Kate, and her motherly nature is shining through.
But despite William joking that he worries about his wife working with children because she always comes home wanting “another one,” let’s take a look at everything broody the future Queen – who is apparently the parenting leader in their relationship – has said… Back in February 2019, just under a year after she gave birth to her youngest, Prince Louis, Kate and Will went on a tour of Northern Island, where she confessed to wanting another child. As the couple went on a walkabout in Ballymena, the Princess met five month old James, and told his dad, Alan that “he’s gorgeous” and how the little one is making her “feel broody.” Following the comment, the young father was quick to press Kate about another child, to which she swiftly responded, “I think William might be slightly worried.” Then, in June 2021, Kate launched her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, and earlier this year, unveiled Shaping Us, a new awareness campaign that stresses how crucial the first five years of a child’s life is, and how it can impact their later life.
