Levinson has been under heavy scrutiny lately for his other HBO series “The Idol.” The show has been accused of “the worst sex scene in history” and been marred by “rape fantasy” accusations and trashed by critics. “The Idol” was cut short, releasing just five episodes despite having originally been listed as a six-episode season.
