An Encrochat dealer was 'buying £42k blocks of cocaine once a week' during the Covid-19 lockdown before his downfall, cops have revealed. Police discovered a huge stash of drugs in a locked storage unit as they investigated Callum Buckley.
The 33-year-old, who splashed thousands on designer items, tried to 'pass the blame' onto others and denied any knowledge of the drugs found in the container. Substances include cocaine and amphetamines. His name was on the rental agreement.
The dealer, who bought and sold Class A and B drugs on a 'wholesale' scale - 'dealing at a serious level' - was snared by cops who were investigating messages shared between encrypted devices. That probe revealed he used the alias 'Peptalk'.

Police uncovered Buckley's 'leading part in organised crime', involving the supply of drugs to associates in Luton in Bedfordshire. He had a 'direct influence' on the supply of drugs into Ireland, GMP said.
Detectives have now revealed that after raiding the rented unit in February 2021, they found six vacuum sealed packages of amphetamines, along with 18g of high-purity cocaine and 72g of cannabis. The total value of the haul was £81,750.
Buckley, referring to himself as 'Cal' and disclosing his home address in phone messages, would also send and receive photographs showing blocks of cocaine, which he was buying each week for £42,000.
He discussed the sale of heroin and cannabis valued at £11,000 and £5,000 respectively and told an associate of a shipment to Ireland worth an approximate £200,000.
Buckley was arrested after his house was raided in September
