Emmerdale stars Natalie Ann Jamieson and Ash Palmisciano have teased what is to come for Amy Wyatt and Matty Barton after viewers saw them tie the knot. The new Mr and Mrs Barton said 'I do' during the ITV soap's latest scenes aired on Wednesday night (April 17).
It didn't come without some drama though as the wedding was almost derailed by Amy's mum, Kerry, who wasn't able to stump up the cash she promised to pay for the big day. With everything ready to go at Home Farm, Kerry confessed that the necklace she planned to sell wasn't worth as much as she thought and was therefore penniless.
Luckily, Eric Pollard saved the day and paid for the wedding while also walking Amy down the aisle, and the young sweethearts were able to exchange vows in front of their friends and family before celebrating being newlyweds.

But it is a soap and will Amy and Matty last? On what's next for the couple, Ash teased to the Manchester Evening News: "What's gonna happen next, obviously, like all good soaps it isn't always playing sailing."
On whether they’d like them to go the distance, actress Natalie said: "Definitely. I’d love them to go the distance but it’s soap, things are going to happen. But when things happen, that does tend to make people stronger doesn’t it, often. Not every huge event rips couples apart so hopefully when things aren’t good they’ll come out the other side of it because I quite like working with Ash..."
Ash echoed: "It’s nice working with your mate, it’s comfortable and it’s so nice bit yeah, like soap, you never know what’s around
