Emmerdale viewers have had a big reaction to fan-favourite character Moira Dingle's new hairdo. During Tuesday night's episode, 26 September, the Scottish farmer, played by Natalie Robb, debuted a fresh and modern new look, her first change-up in years. The character is still rocking her silky brunette locks, but has opted for the chop and had it trimmed under her chin in a semi-pixie look.
The ITV soap's savvy writers made sure to have the rest of the village noticing Moira's fabulous new change, as her son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) was the first to comment. "Do you have Sparky Steve's number?" Moira, who was busy as always, asked Matty. All smiles, the farmer's son quipped: "Why, you going to ask him for a date? Show him your new 'do?" Frowning at the implication, Moira, who is in a relationship with resident bad boy Cain Dingle, cried "noooo" in response.
Later on, the family got together at the Hyde cafe at Mackenzie Boyd's request, as he had some major news to share. He and Chloe Harris found out they were expecting another baby in the previous episode, and the over-the-moon father was keen to break the news that the pair had also gotten engaged. But upon seeing his long-lost sister in the flesh, Mac forgot his big life news in favour of Moira's haircut.

While her fiancée Mackenzie Boyd could have chosen to save her when the car was about to plunge to its depths, which saw another gaffe, the Scottish character instead instinctively grabbed for his ex Charity Dingle's hand.

This is my job – one way or another, to try to help my children.

Emmerdale viewers are convinced they may have rumbled the true identity of returning villain Harry, who is masquerading as "Simon" in the latest plot line. After meeting and flirting with the grieving mum in Monday night's episode, he ended up staying over at the Woolpack pub and sleeping on the sofa.
