A heroic Scottish swimmer known as “The Merman” rescued a Spaniard drowning on a beach in Thailand.

Emergency services were scrambled to a house fire in Fife this morning.
Blaze crews raced to Bennochy Road in Kirkcaldy after the alarm was raised shortly before 10.30am on Sunday.
Harrowing pictures taken from the scene showed smoke coming from a property on the street.
A video shared with the Record showed a huge plume of smoke billowing from the roof. The property appeared to be engulfed in flames.
The extent of the damage is currently unclear while fire crews battle the blaze.
It's currently unclear if anyone has been injured as a result. A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed that a call came in at 10.27am.
Two appliances have been sent in from Kirkcaldy and Methil. Police Scotland have been asked for comment.
