Creamfields has unveiled a new 30,000 capacity indoor main stage called APEX for its 2024 edition.The festival, which will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend from August 22-25 next year at its usual site in Daresbury, Cheshire, is already sold out.The festival claims that APEX will be the largest indoor festival superstructure in the world, and promises it will be paired with “jaw dropping production”. Noel Gallagher has confirmed that he will be heading into the studio early next year to record his next solo album.The former Oasis musician released his latest album with the High Flying Birds, ‘Council Skies’, in June this year, but he has revealed that he is already getting ready to make its follow-up.Speaking in The Sun (via Music News), Gallagher said: “I’ve had to stop writing because I need to get these songs recorded and get them out there so I can write some more.”“In the pandemic there was nothing to do all day so I just wrote songs. There’s another two albums-worth of material there.”“I think I’m going to be back in the studio in January, so we’ll see where it goes from there.”At the start of November, Gallagher shared the single ‘We’re Gonna Get There in the End’, taken from ‘Council Skies’.

Douglas is taking on the role of Major Horton and will star alongside David Jonsson as Fitzwilliam and Penelope Wilton as Miss Pinkerton.The series takes place in England, 1954, where on a train to London, Fitzwilliam meets Miss Pinkerton, who tells him that a killer is on the loose in the sleepy English village of Wychwood under Ashe.The villagers believe the deaths are mere accidents, but Miss Pinkerton knows otherwise – and when she's later found dead on her way to Scotland Yard, Fitzwilliam feels he must find the killer before they can strike again.

Starsailor have announced a 2024 UK tour, alongside news of an upcoming album titled ‘Where The Wild Things Grow’.The band – consisting of frontman James Walsh, bassist James Stelfox, keyboardist Barry Westhead and drummer Ben Byrne – will kick off the tour on March 22 at the Par Hall in Warrington. Bleachers have shared their latest single ‘Alma Mater’ and have announced their new self-titled album ‘Bleachers’.‘Alma Mater’ is the second track to be released from Jack Antonoff and co.’s forthcoming album. It follows the lead single ‘Modern Girl‘, which was released earlier in September. The song was co-written by Lana Del Rey and features her singing “I’ll make it darker” towards the middle of the song.The track is slower with melodic horns, the complete opposite of the previously released lead single which saw the band share another feel-good track with a bright Americana beat and catchy lyrics about “going out and shaking ass”.Both tracks will be featured on the band’s fourth studio album ‘Bleachers’.
