Whether you're flying short haul to Europe or are crossing the Atlantic on your travels this summer, it is worth checking the fine print on your booking before packing your suitcases, or risk facing some serious fines at the airport. EasyJet is known for its cheap flights, but the cost starts to add up if you have to pay the airline's £48 baggage charge at the airport, if you break the carry-on rules.
Currently, the British airline allows passengers to carry a small cabin bag with them on the plane free of charge. This charge applies to any non-purchased bag, per item, brought to the departure gate that is over the customer's allowance.
