Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank hit with hefty bill as he speaks out after 'unfortunate incident'

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank is hoping for change after being hit by a hefty bill following an "unfortunate incident". The actor appeared on ITV's Lorraine to chat about his current emotional soap storyline when he was also asked about a recent incident with his beloved pet dog.
Away from playing Weatherfield's Billy Mayhew, fans will know Daniel for being a big animal lover. Back in 2019, Daniel got a 'new man in his life' - an adorable Dachshund called Colin. The soap star adopted the then-four-month-old pup who was being cared for at Dogs Trust Manchester after being illegally smuggled into the UK.
Then, in February 2020, Daniel and Colin got a friend, Jean, when Daniel again used the Dog's Trust for their support and almost this time last year, he revealed that his brood of four-legged companions had grown again as he introduced the newest member to the clan, Dorris.

As he appeared on Lorraine on Thursday (April 4), Daniel was also asked by host Christine Lampard about an "unfortunate incident" when his rescue dog had to go to the vets. He explained his pet dog, Jean, has always suffered with respiratory issues since she was first adopted but her breathing "deteriorated rapidly" a month ago.
Daniel was full of praise for the care and treatment she received but was left utterly shocked at the price, which initially started at £500 to admit his pet dog to the out-of-hours vet.
