EastEnders' Nish Panesar star reveals character's true intentions as he frames Stacey Slater

EastEnders star Navin Chowdhry has opened up about Nish Panesar's plan after he attempted to frame Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) for attacking him. Nish has made many enemies since arriving in Walford and his family are quickly turning on him following his split from wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal). Nish was attacked on Christmas Day in the Queen Vic following a violent showdown with Suki.
He was knocked unconscious with a champagne bottle. Viewers know Denise Fox (Diane Parish) was the one to hit him, but Nish's memory has failed him and he can't recall who the culprit was.
The Six have insisted it was Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) behind the attack, but Nish has grown suspicious of the women. After being humiliated by her cousin Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), Nish rang the police and reported Stacey, having become convinced she'd attacked him on Christmas Day.
Stacey was called in for questioning and she struggled to maintain her story under pressure. This could mark the beginning of Nish's grand plan - should he be plotting to take down estranged wife Suki and the rest of The Six. Actor Navin has revealed his character is determined to uncover exactly what happened to him.
Speaking to The Mirror, the star said: "I think there’s two sides of the story because of what happened to Keanu and what happened to Nish. "From what we know from Nish, he may have temporarily dropped pursuit and stopped looking into it, but for a man like him to be overpowered by six women in The Vic on Christmas Day, it's too much for him to surely let go of.
