Some key cost of living dates will take place over the coming weeks which all savvy households should keep an eye on.
A variety of schemes will run in order to help low-income families and pensioners pay their bills during the winter months. More than £1,000 will be up for grabs.

Here's a breakdown of all the payments from now until winter...
Households can get up to £150 taken off their energy bills from October 16. However, the money won't be paid directly into the energy account and will instead be issued as credit.
In order to be eligible, customers must either receive the Guarantee Credit portion of Pension Credit or be on other benefits such as the Savings Credit portion of Pension Credit, Universal Credit or Housing Benefit if you have high energy costs. Full details are available here.
The latest cost of living payment from the DWP and HMRC, will see £300 enter eligible bank accounts. In order to be eligible, households must be receiving one of the qualifying means-tested benefits.
