Alison Hammond and Dermott O'Leary have sent their love to co-host Holly Willoughby on Friday's This Morning after an alleged kidnap and murder plot emerged.
The pair opened This Morning on Friday with a message to Holly.
The former X Factor host said: "We’re not going to talk too much about it but we have to start with a story about one of our own.
"Holly is on the front pages this morning after police arrested a 36-year-old man over an alleged kidnap plot.
"He has now been charged by Essex Police."
Alison, 48, continued: "We were obviously all shocked to hear the news and we want to send our love and biggest hugs to Holly and her family."
Guest Gyles Brandreth added: "A big hug to Holly. It’s a rough, tough world at times."
Holly has been flooded with messages of support, with one fan writing: "Sending big love to Holly, Nobody should be as frightened as she must be right now."
36-year-old Gavin Plumb has been charged over an alleged plot to kidnap and murder the ITV presenter.
On Thursday the 42-year-old pulled out of her usual slot and her London home is reportedly being guarded by police.
It has been reported that the suspect is not known to Holly and ITV bosses were alerted to the alleged plot on Thursday morning shortly before she was due to go on air, forcing Alison Hammond to step in and present the show alongside Josie Gibson.
