Nearly three months after the release of his July EP RED & WHITE, Lil Uzi Vert is back with a new solo single. “Just Wanna Rock” is a change of pace for Uzi, who trades the flamboyant trap instrumentals they usually favor for a thumping drill beat and follows suit vocally, rapping in a lower register than usual.

BTS member Jin has announced his debut solo album and said that a new single will arrive “soon”.The K-pop star told fans towards the end of BTS’ World Expo 2030 Busan Korea concert on Saturday (October 15) that he has been working on his own material.“I have something to tell you… I’ve ended up becoming the second [BTS member] after J-Hope to release my own album. It’s not a huge album or anything, it’s just a single.“I was able to work together with someone that I’d always really liked, so I’ll be releasing a new song.

Blink-182 have returned with their first song to feature Tom DeLonge in just months shy of a decade: a belting pop-punk anthem titled ‘Edging’.Despite its title (and the returning frontman’s penchant for tongue-in-cheek raciness) the song is surprisingly void of sex jokes, instead offering a self-deprecative take on the dissolution of a relationship. It opens with DeLonge singing the first verse, as he quips: “I ain’t that cool, a little fucked in the head / They’ll be hangin’ me quick when I’m back from the dead.”A music video for ‘Edging’, directed by Cole Bennett, is due to be released tomorrow (October 15).

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has shared a new video for his recent single ‘Devil’s Island’.Rowntree shared the track last month along with details of his forthcoming debut solo LP ‘Radio Songs’.Speaking about the clip, which was directed by Guy Gotto, he said: ““I was keen to work with Guy Gotto, who makes gorgeous and interesting video art. He visualised the song as a journey through a bleak but beautiful landscape.“We decided to film along the narrow gauge railway from Hythe to Dungeness, which runs through some of the most desolate but dazzling landscape in the country. System Of A Down‘s Serj Tankian has shared a new visualiser video for his song ‘The Race’ – watch it below.The song is featured as an additional bonus track on his upcoming five-track LP ‘Perplex Cities’, which was announced last month.‘Perplex Cities’ will be out on streaming services on October 21 through Tankian’s Serjical Strike label and follows his 2021 EP ‘Elasticity’.He has been sharing the LP via the augmented reality app Arloopa, with tracks released each week starting September 19 along with Tankian “appearing in the same space as the listener-viewer to explain the music and listen along.”Alongside the release of the video, Tankian has announced a live show called ‘Invocations’ at The Soraya in Northridge, California, which will include a full choir, a full orchestra, and soloists including a tenor, an alto, a world singer, a death metal singer, and Tankian himself.The show will take place live on April 29, 2023, and will be simultaneously streamed worldwide. Willie J Healey has shared details of his upcoming third album, ‘Bunny’ along with new single Dreams – check it out below.The follow up to 2020’s ‘Twin Heavy‘ will be released on March 24, 2023 via Yala! Records and marks a significant change in sound for the Oxfordshire singer-songwriter. While ‘Twin Heavy’ was an album Healey himself described as sounding like “a 70s orgy”, ‘Bunny’ takes inspiration from funk, Philadelphia soul and R&B.“The whole era is something that I love,” said Healey. “Long before making ‘Twin Heavy’, I had always listened to funk, soul and R&B, but for some reason it never translated into my own music.

Tegan And Sara have shared the latest taste of their forthcoming tenth studio album ‘Crybaby’ in the form of a punchy new single titled ‘I Can’t Grow Up’.Described by the band as a “snotty nosed pop song about not being able to grow out of bad habits in relationships,” it comes with playful visuals which you can see below.The band’s Sara Quin said the track inspired musically by Chicago band Dehd and their 2020 album ‘Flower of Devotion’.She said: “The song started on bass, an instrument I’d never written with until Crybaby, and I was channeling a little bit of Emily Kempf from Dehd, and Peter Hook from New Order. My partner had traveled back to the U.S., after a year of being stuck in Canada during the pandemic, and I was enjoying late nights alone writing music and singing full tilt in the basement.”The track will appear on the Canadian duo’s 10th studio album ‘Crybaby’, which is due for release on October 21 via Mom + Pop Music.
