Pep Guardiola has been convinced by his players that they will compete until the very end of the season.

As well as that effort, City have the chance to book their place in the Champions League semi-finals and FA Cup final this week if they can make it past Real Madrid and Chelsea respectively.

Guardiola has seen his players relish this stage of the season as the chance for silverware comes more sharply into view and the results of single games can mean you are 'dead or alive'. There remain a number of obstacles in the way of City's pursuit of more trophies, yet the coach is delighted with the effort of his players.
"They like to play the pressure. They like it when you are dead or alive. That doesn’t mean we are going to do it but I am pretty sure we will be there until the end because I know them, I see their faces before in the meetings before games and how they prepare," he said.
