Speaking at his press conference ahead of the game with Palace, Pep Guardiola said. "Eddy is much better, maybe he will be on the list. Nathan and Kyle are out."

In Ederson's absence, Ortega has impressed again in goal for City. The No.2 has a contract table on the offer to renew at the Etihad but the club are aware that he may have ambitions to be a No.1.
"To play at Anfield and this game was nice," Ortega said this week. "The FA Cup after that, Arsenal on Sunday, now Aston Villa, a good team as well. Just try to be there, do my job and be happy for every game you get. Now I have four big games in a row. I think I did well, I showed all the people can trust me."
Ortega's target remains to become the regular first-choice goalkeeper at City, a challenge he accepts is daunting considering how well Ederson has done.
"The manager has to decide what he wants. I just can show my performances on the pitch and in training and in the end I don’t know what will happen," he said. "But it’s all about the team and if I have to go back on the bench it will be hard for me, yes, but we have to support
