Netflix has teased first-look clips of a new documentary from David and Victoria Beckham during the Edinburgh TV Festival. During a discussion panel at the event, key UK executives from the streamer shared a number of teaser clips of upcoming projects.
The new Beckham series will show elements of the couple’s married life that viewers will be able to relate to, director Adam Hawkins said. In the clip, his fashion designer and former Spice Girl wife can be seen telling him she appreciates the work he does, with David saying he is doubtful that is true.
The former England football captain told the interviewer in the clip he cleans and tidies their house every night, including cutting used wicks from their candles, adding he hates waking up to a “messy house”. The multi-part series will be released later this year and Netflix says it will "go beyond the shine of stardom".

The documentary will have unprecedented access to Beckham’s personal archives, showcasing never-before-seen footage from the last 40 years, as well as modern-day recollections and candid moments. It will also feature interviews with Beckham himself and his friends, family and colleagues.
The streaming giant also shared a first-look clip of This Is Going To Hurt star Ambika Mod and White Lotus actor Leo Woodall in their new adaption of David Nicholls’ book One Day. In the short video shown at the Edinburgh TV Festival, the pair can be seen lying beside each other and chatting as they look across a viewpoint on top of the mountain.
