There's been several masterpieces created on Celebrity Bake Off over the years, with many bakes having great stories behind them.
This year's show features celebs including Danny Dyer, who used a DIY disaster as inspiration for one of his show-stopping cakes. Ex-EastEnders actor Danny, 46, appears on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer on Channel 4, with the next instalment airing on Sunday, 24 March.
The series saw celebs tasked with recreating their biggest failure in cake form. Danny recalled an incident which saw him attempt to build a wardrobe - only to build it around himself and have to break it to get out.
He admitted his wife Jo still "mocks" him about the mishap. The star said: “I had a child young and tried to build a wardrobe. But I built myself into it.
I had to punch the back of it to get out. My missus still mocks me to this day.” Danny recreated the wardrobe from vanilla sponge on the TV programme. He also hid a fondant model of himself holding a hammer in the middle for judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood to find.
He added: “I’ve had many failures in my life, some of them I can’t do though cos they’re filth. I’ve blagged my whole career, 30 years. I’ve made a whole career out of that.
I still have no idea what I’m doing. Who knows? Maybe I’m meant to be an unbelievable baker.” It comes after the EastEnders favourite admitted not practising as much as he should've done ahead of his Bake Off appearance for charity. He said: "I’ve been so busy, I've been doing a wonderful Disney+ job at the moment and I've been in Bristol, and so I did try the biscuits very briefly.
