Danielle Armstrong has faced unkind criticism after sharing an update about her daughter going to pre-school.
The former TOWIE star, who was a cast member on the ITV show from 2013 until 2020, regularly shares update about her family life to her 1,300,000 followers on Instagram.
This week, the 35-year-old revealed that her first born, three-year-old daughter Orla, started pre-school. Danielle, who shares both her children with husband Tommy Edney, captioned the post: "And just like that our little girl is at pre school.
"I’m not sure if it’s the uniform but all of a sudden our little Orla just looks so grown up. Excited for you to make new friends , explore, and make childhood memories my little darling." The post included a picture of Orla in her school uniform and a video of the family getting ready to leave, as Tommy cheers "Oi oi" in the background.
The post attracted plenty of positive interactions, including from close friend and former co-star Ferne McCann, who commented: "Oh my goodness she looks so cute." However, some trolls took aim at Danielle and Tommy for sending their daughter off to school at an early age. One hit out and commented: “She's two should still be in nursery, too young for pre school, in my opinion… keep her in nursery till four.
Don't make them grow up to soon.
This is my opinion and I am old school." However, fans chimed in to respond and pointed out that Orla is in fact over three years old. One said: "Always a negative nelly on here I'm sure they know what's best for there child." Another added: "Why don’t you mind your own business, people have to much of it".
