Christmas dinner is over, meaning households are likely full of leftovers that are enjoyed the next day, especially when piled together between some bread.
If you're planning to make a festive sarnie with leftover stuffing, turkey, ham, potatoes and whatever else you have left in the fridge - one man's recipe might be for you. On Boxing Day, rather than resort to a typical loaf, he instead nestles two Yorkshire puddings.
While they are smaller than typical slices, the roast dinner staple can actually nestle plenty of fare between them to make a tasty looking Christmas sandwich, according to one social media cook. The dinner hybrid is the creation of @DaddyMayCooks - a father who regularly shares recipe videos with over one million followers.
He decided to share how he would be using his dinner leftovers on Boxing Day, after being asked by one commenter. In a TikTok clip, he can be seen grabbing two Yorkshire puddings, then filling one with a dollop of mashed potato, some carrots and peas, as well as turkey and stuffing.
Finally, he places one more scoop of mashed potato, finishing the whole thing off with some gravy and another Yorkshire pudding before giving it a go in the toaster grill. For extra flavour, he then dips the whole thing into a small side of gravy which serves as an extra dipping sauce.
The perfectly toasted sandwich left viewers' mouths watering. "Got my tummy rumbling. Good work mate looks… Delicious," wrote one hungry commenter.
