What time is Emmerdale on Christmas Day and Boxing Day?

The much-anticipated big day has arrived and while it is often full of celebrations for many, others will be hoping to settle down in front of the TV when the evening comes around.
This includes soap fans who won't be without their usual fix as Emmerdale will be airing on both Christmas and Boxing Day. And we've already had a sneak peek at what is to come.
Last month the ITV soap's producer revealed they had pushed aside the 'fluffier' celebrations for something 'quite different in tone'. Laura Shaw said at the time: "A lot of it is edgier for us for Christmas and I can tell you that definitely not every one of our villagers will be sat down eating their turkey with all the trimmings on Christmas day."

And Emmerdale fans will be able to watch the following unfold on Christmas Day (Monday, December 25) at 6.30pm and in a change from previous years, it will only be a 30 minute edition. There will also be an episode on Boxing Day (Tuesday, December 26) at 7pm which will also be just be 30 minutes long.
But what can viewers expect? As Christmas day arrives, inside the dark, gloomy factory, there's no sign of Mackenzie, just the chair he was once bound to. But he soon finds himself back where he started and after wife Charity Dingle and cousin Chas follow in pursuit, a scuffle breaks out with Charity, Mack and Harry and a gunshot sound.
