Corrie's Katie McGlynn on 'proposal' from TOWIE's Ricky Rayment and wedding bells

They are six months into their relationship and are clearly thrilled to have found each other but Katie McGlynn insists she isn’t thinking about wedding bells just yet. The former Coronation Street actress, who played Sinead Tinker on the soap for seven years, admitted she and TOWIE star Ricky Rayment ‘just clicked’ when they met while both working on a cruise ship.
But while they both have a lot in common and share the same values, outlook and sense of humour - ‘he’s just a lovely human being’ - walking down the aisle isn’t currently top of Katie’s agenda. “I’ve never thought about a proposal before; it's not something I’ve dreamed about like other girls,” revealed the 30 year old who, together with 33 year old Ricky, spoke to OK! as part of an exclusive first joint interview and photo shoot.
“But we are very happy - the happiest - and Ricky is very romantic. I know that he would pull out all the stops.” Ricky, who was on our screens in TOWIE between 2012 and 2015 and has in the past dated Jess Wright, also remained coy about future wedding plans.
“I’m afraid that’s for me to know and everyone else to find out!” laughed the reality TV star who now runs his own fishing business, Crowsheath Fishery, in Essex - a move he describes as 'the best decision of his life'. “It's only been six months as well, so we'll see, but it’s looking positive," he said, describing Katie as 'really, really caring'.
