Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver appeared on Thursday's afternoon Loose Women and opened up on suffering from a "really bad year" after being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery then ending up in intensive care.
The 59-year-old actress appeared as a guest panellist, where she chatted with her co-stars Jane Moore, Denise Welch and Coleen Nolan, who were discussing the struggle to 'fit in' and Sue's recent rant about a company that had used her image to try and sell diet pills.
The ITV soap star opened up her recent weight loss journey after she decided to give up alcohol, before she shared with the panellists her recent health scare, reports the Mirror.
Sue explained to Coleen, Jane and Denise that she had had a hysterectomy earlier this year as she admitted if she was looking smaller to people, it's because of her health issues.
Speaking about her ordeal, she said: "I had a really bad year. I had a hysterectomy in March. Then a few weeks ago, I ended up in A&E, I don't need to go into details, but it was a scary scary time. I had surgery and ended up in intensive care. There is no diet, there are no gummies. These companies pray on vulnerable people all the time."
After seeing the ad online about the diet pills, Sue took to social media to slam the fake advert and warn her fans of the risks.
"I'm really, really sad that I have to actually make this video. But, I’ve had quite a lot of messages over the last couple of weeks asking me about… keto dummies. There is obviously some scam going around saying that I lost weight using keto gummies. Dummies? I dunno. Well, it’s c**p. It’s a scam. And if you’ve been taken in by it, I am so, so sorry," she said at the time.
