Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has been praised for taking time out as she shared how she enjoyed a 'first' despite feeling the 'nerves'. The actress has had a busy time of late as her character continues to be part of a hard-hitting storyline.
Samia plays Maria Windass in the ITV soap and viewers will have seen the heartbroken mum dealing with her son's bullying hell at the hands of fellow Weatherfield High student Mason Radcliffe. Liam Connor, played by Charlie Wrenshall, had been hiding what's been going on from his family and even got in trouble himself when he retaliated and shoved Dylan Wilson up against a wall at school and was caught by Mrs Crawshaw.
But his mum resorted to catfishing to get to the bottom of what is going on and discovered the horrifying truth. As they struggled to get anything to change at the school, there was more heartbreak when Maira and her husband Gary discovered that Liam was contemplating taking his own life.

Now, Maria is watching his every move having installed a secret camera in their flat as she had to return to work, while she also tries to get help for his mental health as well as get some kind of justice for her son in the form of school and police intervention.
With the heavy scenes continuing, Samia used her break from filming to unwind and revealed she headed on a solo trip to a Ayurvedic yoga retreat. Taking to Instagram, the soap star shared a video compilation of what she got up to and where she stayed and explained how she felt about doing the retreat on her own and how she feels now she's done it.
