Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank declares adoration for co-star as fans rush to respond after 'hard to watch' scenes

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank had declared his adoration for his co-star Peter Ash - and not for the first time - following fresh 'hard to watch' scenes for the pair. Fans of the ITV soap were saddened following Wednesday night's (January 3) trip to Weatherfield.
Billy Mayhew, played by Dan, was hoping to book a holiday for himself, Paul, played by Peter, and Summer Spellman but found travel insurance was astronomical due to Paul living with Motor Neurone Disease. Paul insisted it was fine and that he was happy to stay at home anyway.
But as he headed to the Rovers where sister Gemma Winter-Brown was on shift, David Platt joined him and tried to cheer him up with some sangria in a bid to bring the feel of Spain to the cobbles instead.

The pair ended up getting a little bit tipsy and David was seen helping Paul back home to his flat. Needing the toilet, David offered to help but Paul was insistent it'd be fine because his PA, Moses, should be arriving soon. But Moses was getting later and later and in desperation, Paul tried to get himself into his wheelchair.
But as he did he slipped and fell, leaving him on the floor and relieving his bladder in the process. It was Billy who ended up finding him when he came home and an upset Paul demanded he leave and try to get hold of Moses to help him. But Billy wouldn't listen and helped a dejected Paul. Following the accident, Billy decided to request indefinite leave from his job, much to his husband's disapproval.
His reaction left Billy crushed and later, in a further heartbreaking
