Coronation Street's Billy star Daniel Brocklebank sports black eye as he gives 'life lesson'

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has shared a snap of himself sporting a black eye as he jokingly shared a 'life lesson' with his fans. The actor took to social media as he headed from Manchester to London to attend the Broadcast Awards.
The ITV soap is shortlisted in the Best Soap/Continuing Drama category at the awards alongside Casualty, EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road and so it appears Dan, who plays Weatherfield's Billy Mayhew, is on hand to represent them at the ceremony.
But as he made his train journey from both to south, the soap star took to social media with a snap of himself which showed him sporting a painful-looking bruised eye.

Alongside the picture, Dan wrote to his followers: "Heading to London for the #BroadcastAwards sporting a beautiful shiner... Life lesson - walls hurt..." suggesting he'd had a bit of a run-in. Despite his black eye, Dan still looked the part with his silvery grey beard all preened and his hair perfectly quiffed.
Dan's awards appearance comes after he left Susanna Reid choking up during an interview on Good Morning Britain. The 47-year-old appeared on the ITV news programme last week to chat about the soap's latest work with the Motor Neurone Disease Association alongside its heartbreaking storyline.
