Coronation Street fans appeared somewhat amused despite their being a grisly body discovery in the latest trip to the cobbles. At the start of this week, viewers of the ITV soap saw Ed struggle when Neil, his and his brother Ronnie's site manager of their new development project, suggests they bet on when the digger will turn up.
Not knowing about Ed's past gambling troubles. Then later in the Rovers, the lads gather to watch the match. When Neil suggests they have a flutter, Ed’s sorely tempted. But he was the one seen apologising to Neil during Tuesday night's episode (September 19) for snapping at him, explaining that he used to be a gambling addict.
Meanwhile, over in the solicitors’ office, daughter Dee-Dee was seen getting Ronnie to sign some forms and seemed to make a point of letting her uncle know that he’s taking a risk starting work on the site before completion of the purchase.

And her words soon came back to haunt Ronnie as back on the site, Ed noticed the digger driver looked troubled and hurried over to check what was going on. Then, just as Ronnie arrived at the building site, he saw Ed talking to a uniformed PC Craig Tinker. And Ronnie soon found himself peering into the hole where the digger has unearthed a dead body.
But as the scene played out, showing part of an arm and a hand emerging from the soil, Corrie fans rushed to social media as they couldn't help but make some comparisons. @Chadderbox2018 laughed: "When did Uncle Stephen murder The Hulk? #Corrie." @soaps_extra asked: "Why is the hand green? Was Leo The Hulk? #Corrie."
