Coronation Street's Alya Nazir (played by Sair Kahn,) is rumoured to be leaving the cobbles next week according to official spoilers for the show. But will she be departing alone? As regular viewers will know, the legal secretary has recently made several significant career changes, including quitting her job at Barlow Legal Services. After accepting a job offer from their rival Fabian's, she has angered former boss Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) by poaching his clients.
Yet despite his fury, it's clear the office has been struggling without her organisational skills. Next week, when she visits the solicitors for a client file, she finds Adam grappling with the admin work, much to his embarrassment. Angry over Alya's betrayal, Adam suggests to Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) that they withdraw from the joint work they're doing with Fabian's.
However, unwilling to cave to his demand so easily, Dee-Dee accuses him of being petty and instructs him to get on with the filing. Later, when Rich and Alya arrive for their meeting with Adam, he is surprised to learn that she is going to work in Dublin, reports the Express. Keen to impress Alya, Adam presents them with a summary of the case.
As they collaborate on the joint case, they share a smile, but then quickly look away. Over the course of their work, the tension between the two finally reaches boiling point before the couple finally give in to temptation and act on the chemistry between them. In an emotionally charged moment, Adam confesses his feelings to Alya and they share a passionate kiss, just as Rich walks into the office to find them in an embrace.
