A major update to the Eagles UK residency has been announced. The band, who will be performing exclusively in Manchester this summer, were due to be joined by long-time contemporaries Steely Dan for their final tour dates.
However, yesterday evening fans were sent an update to say that due to 'unforeseen circumstances', the American rock band would no longer be performing as support. Event organisers issued the update via ticket providers.
In January, Eagles announced a UK residency at the soon-to-be launched Co-op Live in Manchester. The five shows will be the only dates the band will play in the UK.

Made up of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, the "Hotel California" rockers will play five dates at Manchester's Co-op Live arena in late May and early June 2024. They'll now we joined by The Doobie Brothers for the dates.
Also confirming the news, a spokesperson for Co-op Live said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Steely Dan will not be performing the shows in Manchester. The Doobie Brothers will be replacing them on all shows."
Eagles final tour, 'The Long Goodbye', began in September 2023 at Madison Square Garden in New York, and is covering much of North America in 2024.
The California group's career spans for more than five decades and has seen them sell for than 200 million albums globally. With their musical blend of country, folk, R&B and rock, Eagles made an instantaneous mark on rock music with their 1972 debut single “Take It Easy,” and over the years have become on of the most commercially successful bands of all time.
