British Gas has extended its offer of half price energy on Sundays until the end of next month.
Customers who are signed up to the energy supplier's PeakSave Sundays scheme get half price electricity for five hours on the last day of the week. The firm has now confirmed it will extend the offer until the end of March, giving customers another six chances to save money on their bills.
In an announcement on X, formerly Twitter, British Gas said: "Great news for PeakSavers! We’ve extended PeakSave Sundays. So you can keep enjoying half-price electric 11am–4pm each Sunday to 31 March." The firm also hinted there may be further money-saving schemes to come, adding: "Plus, there’s more ways for PeakSavers to save coming soon".

British Gas said its PeakSave scheme gives customers the chance to save money on energy by making changes to when they use electricty. It also said the scheme helps to balance out the peaks and troughs of energy usage across the grid.
Customers can only sign up for the PeakSave scheme if they have a smart meter. Once customers are signed up, they will automatically be included in the scheme each Sunday.
British Gas says that during the five-hour events, customers should use as much electricity as they need. As electricity is half price, the firm suggests waiting until the event to turn on appliances such as washing machines or vacuums. It also suggests using the time to wash the car, or cook a Sunday roast.
After each event, British Gas will credit customers' accounts with half of what they spent. The payment will show up as 'PeakSave Sunday Credit' on
