Lee McCulloch reckons that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers could be "hanging himself out to dry" by not picking new recruits in his starting line-up.
The transfer business at Parkhead has come under scrutiny since the return of Rodgers last summer with several of the recruits failing to get a look-in from the Irishman. Luis Palma, Yang and Paolo Bernardo have established themselves as regulars this term but the likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke, Maik Nawrocki, Odin Thiago Holm, Kwon and Marco Tilio failed to make an impression.
Both Kwon and Tilio have already been shipped out on loan while Lagerbielke only remained at the club after an injury to Cameron Carter-Vickers saw the plug pulled on a temporary switch to Lecce. Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah arrived at Celtic in January but have yet to make an impression - and former Rangers star McCulloch reckons that he could be sending a message to the board that he didn't fancy several of the recruits BEFORE a deal was sealed.
McCulloch told PLZ Soccer: "When you look at his track record of signing players, it's actually quite good, isn't it? Like (Odsonne) Edouard and a couple of the forward players.
"That is what he has been proven in. This season, I don't think they are his types of players. It tells you everything that he is not playing his signings.
"He is either hanging himself out to dry for the board or he is basically saying I didn't really fancy them in the first place." Fellow pundit Tam McManus chimed in: "They are not is good as what he has already got."
