Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was shot and stabbed in Salford. A 34-year-old man was rushed to hospital with a gunshot injury and stab wounds following an incident at a property on Norfolk Street, Walkden, at around 6.30pm on Saturday November 4.
On Tuesday evening (November 7), officers arrested a 29-year-old and a 30-year-old man on suspicion of the attempted murder. Officers have been stationed outside in Swinton in relation to the investigation, the M.E.N. understands
Police are now appealing for information over the 'vicious' attack, which they say is an isolated incident and believed to be targeted.

It is believed that a blue Volvo was left on Cooper Lane, Blackley, which is thought to be connected with this incident, according to police.
Speaking to the M.E.N. on Saturday, residents on Norfolk Street said they were shocked by the violent incident. A 25-year-old resident of the estate said it was ‘unexpected’ as he watched ‘eight police cars and two ambulances’ with sirens blaring arrive in the street last night.
Another man said it was ‘a bit of a surprise’ to see the estate taken over by investigators, as detectives knocked on doors to gather information.
Detective Inspector Justin Bryant from Salford CID said: “This was a vicious attack, but I would like to reassure the community that this is an isolated incident.
“The arrests come off the back of some fantastic work by the detectives here in Salford, and we are working hard to piece together the full circumstances.
