A teenager has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Warrington.
The woman - named by police as Chintzia McIntyre - was the victim of a 'serious assault' on Phoenix Place on Tuesday (August 29). Emergency services were called but the 48-year-old sadly died on the scene.
Cheshire Police launched an investigation. A 17-year-old boy- who cannot be named for legal reasons - has since been charged with murder.

He will appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court today (August 31). Cheshire Police said in a statement: "Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Warrington have charged a 17-year-old boy. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Tuesday 29 August and has since been charged with murder.
"he charge relates to an incident which police were called to at around 9.40am on Tuesday 29 August in Phoenix Place, Warrington. Chintzia McIntyre, 48, had been seriously assaulted and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The 17-year-old boy is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 31 August."
