Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has said that Jadon Sancho is on "borrowed time" at Old Trafford following another disappointing campaign at the club.

However, he failed to live up to expectations in his maiden season at Old Trafford, resulting in Erik ten Hag making the decision to sign another right-sided winger just over 12 months later, drafting in Antony from Ajax for an even bigger fee. The United manager had worked with the Brazilian in the Netherlands and was determined to add him to his squad last summer.

His arrival at Old Trafford instantly propelled him to the top of the right-wing pecking order, meaning Sancho, who was absent from the squad this season between late-October and the start of February, has mainly been restricted to a bit-part role on the left. As reported by the Manchester Evening News at the start of April, Ten Hag is understood to have become increasingly frustrated with the England international.
And with his Old Trafford fortunes showing little signs of changing anytime soon, Yorke, who played for United between 1998 and 2002, believes time is running out for Sancho to prove his worth at the club.
