Bluedot Festival returns to Cheshire this week, spectacularly fusing music, science, arts and culture over four days.
The event runs from July 20 to 23 at the Jodrell Bank Observatory, with the main stage in the shadow of the world famous Lovell radio telescope. Billed as the UK's most 'intergalactic festival', this year will see major acts including Grace Jones, Roisin Murphy, Pavement, Leftfield and Max Cooper take to the stage. They'll be joined by Dry Cleaning, Young Fathers, Django Django and New Road.
As well as a stellar line-up of musical acts, the festival features science talks and workshops, including Science with Jodrell Bank. There are a total of 10 stages, alongside campsites, the VIP village and yoga and wellness sections.

Closing the festival on Sunday night is 80s star Grace Jones, whose Bluedot appearance marks her only northern show of the summer. Following her curation of London’s Meltdown Festival last year, her influence has made her a notable pop figure for the past six decades.
Best known for her 1985 hit Slave To The Rhythm, the Jamaican-born singer rose to prominence with her 1981 album Nightclubbing. The multitalented artist is also an actress, having appeared in films including A View To A Kill, Boomerang and Rock Of Ages.
