An estimated £500,000 worth of Manchester United memorabilia is up for grabs in an auction this month with several pieces of rare and intriguing pieces on offer.
Dubbed the 'one of the biggest collections of United memorabilia in a generation,' the auction will be held on Thursday, September 28 in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and be held by Graham Bud Auctions. Over 650 items will be going under the hammer, including a collection amassed over 25 years by lifelong supporter Paul Atkinson, which is expected to fetch between £200k-300k alone.
Highlights of the collection include match-worn United shirts from legends such as David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo, an iconic Sir Bobby Charlton jersey from 1965 and a match-worn George Best No.7 Northern Ireland shirt.

The heroic Bill Foulkes' 1968 European Cup Winners medal, estimated to fetch between £40k-60k, is another star item and there are further shirts from the likes of Peter Schmeichel, Wayne Rooney, Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Eric Cantona, Marcus Rashford and over 70 more.
One of the most poignant items is the exceedingly rare match programme from the cancelled game between United and Wolves, which was set to take place on February 8, 1958, but was called off in the wake of the Munich Air Disaster which took place two days earlier. It has an estimated value of £7k-9k.
Elsewhere there is a raft of vintage programmes, tickets, FA Cup and League medals, England caps, FA Cup tankards, portraits, signed boots and hundreds more unique and interesting items.
