Britain's Got Talent viewers were left scratching their heads last night as another impressive act was awarded the Golden Buzzer, sending them straight through to the live semi-finals.

Ben Shephard has finally spoken out about the recent dip in This Morning's ratings since he and Cat Deeley took over as hosts. The 49-year-old, who previously presented Good Morning Britain, joined forces with So You Think You Can Dance host Cat, 47, to give the ITV daytime show a fresh look.
Their takeover followed a period of turmoil for This Morning, which had been rocked by a scandal involving Phillip Schofield and a fallout with Holly Willoughby. Despite a promising start, with their debut episode on March 11 attracting one million viewers at its peak and an average viewership of 806,000, ratings have since declined.
Viewing figures dropped to as low as 692,500 the following week, lower than the number of people who tuned in to watch what turned out to be Schofield and Holly's final show together last May with 767,000 viewers, reports the Mirror.

Many viewers have since called for regular Friday hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary to be given the full-time roles. A spokesperson for This Morning rebuffed the allegations whilst speaking to the Mirror, stating: "Ben and Cat have recorded the best audience reach of the year so far on This Morning with 4.5 million viewers across one week. Viewing figures for January - March 2024 are also up 5 percent compared to 2023."
In April rumours circulated that This Morning was drawing in more audiences than when Holly and Phil had been hosting the previous year. After only a month on air, Ben and Cat had already topped last year's viewing figures by five percent.
