UK office workers have been warned about a bed bug infestation that is spreading, with staff at one office being told to work from home.
The Mirror reported last week that these bugs had been found on one floor of a government building in Canary Wharf, London. Sniffer dogs were even brought in to look for more. The building, 10 South Colonnade, which is near the main One Canada Square tower at Canary Wharf, had bed bugs on its fourth floor.
Now, it seems the bugs have moved to other parts of the building, including the 10th floor where the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is based.

People working for this government agency have been strongly advised not to come into the building for at least two weeks. "The Government Property Agency (GPA) do have a plan to eradicate the infestation, but this is likely to take several weeks," they were told. "Bed bugs are not dangerous, but they are unpleasant and difficult to get rid of once they settle in."
Staff have been told to wash any clothes they've worn to the office at 60 degrees. They've also been told that bed bugs are "most likely to be found in the seams of soft furnishings" in the office.
Other offices used by the MHRA in South Mimms, Hertfordshire are now being checked, and staff have been told not to travel between the two sites. It comes after fears have risen over the spread of bed bugs throughout the UK following an outbreak in Paris where they were reportedly seen in schools, trains, hospitals, and cinemas.
