A Game of Thrones star’s mum is appearing in the new season of The Traitors.
The much-loved BBC show returned to screens on Wednesday night, making overnight celebrities of the 22 contestants taking part this year.
Among their midst are three Scots - Brian from Glasgow and Evie and Tracey, both from Inverness.
But it was retired teacher Diane who seems to have stolen the show from the offset thanks to her eagle-eyed determination to discover who are traitors and who are faithfuls.
Ahead of the programme launching, it was revealed that Diane is actually no stranger to small screen fame, as her actor son starred in Game of Thrones.
Kerr Logan, who played Mathos Seaworth, the son of Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham), in the HBO drama, told fans on X, formerly Twitter, that he’d only discovered his mum was appearing on the nail-biting BBC reality show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and filmed at Arduous Castle in the Highlands, when the lineup announcement was made public by the BBC at the beginning of the week. He said: “My mother is on The Traitors . My mother is on The Traitors . My mother is on The Traitors . She’s bonkers. I’m scared.”
At the time of the BBC’s announcement he tweeted: “I’m not joking….. a family member of mine is in this photo and I’ve only just found out.”
Diane had told the BBC before the new series hit screens that she had applied to prove her children wrong after they “said I could never do something like this”.

She went on: “I’ve discovered over the years that I can either raise an atmosphere or bring it down.
“I’m hoping I’ll be motivating and energising for people. Those are my best
