BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones fights tears as she thanks 'absolute rock' amid 'disappointing' exit

Katya Jones was left fighting back tears as she addressed her Strictly Come Dancing exit for the first time on social media. The dancer appeared in the ballroom on Saturday night (December 2) alongside her celebrity dance partner Nigel Harman after they were forced to withdraw from the competition.
The news was announced just hours before the show was due to air but actor Nigel has since admitted the injury had happened the day before and he was covering his pain during an appearance on It Takes Two on the Friday (December 1) and was hoping for a health miracle.
Only four couples performed during the latest live show - which was both the quarter-finals and Musicals week - after major changes had to be made following Nigel's sudden exit after he sustained a rib injury that left him in A&E. He still appeared on the show to talk to Claudia Winkleman alongside Katya.

The pair then made their last appearance on It Takes Two on Monday night (December 4), Nigel said he was still in a lot of pain. Speaking to co-host Fleur East, Nigel said: "It was very strange waking up this morning and not dancing with you [speaking to Katya]. I found it really...
"I didn't know what to do with myself. I'm still in quite a bit of pain so I was just moping round the house going 'I wonder what Katya's doing today'. So it feels quite strange, because it's only been three days."
