Strictly Come Dancing's Layton Williams was floored after judge Craig Revel Horwood gave him and partner Nikita Guzman a standing ovation during the semi-finals of the show. Layton and Nikita brought the house down with their lively performance of The Charleston - earning them full marks from the judges. When it was Craig's turn to give comments on the dance, he simply stood and clapped his hands, as his fellow judge Motsi Mabuse followed suit.
Craig is notoriously Strictly's harshest judge, so his reaction to the dance held particular stock. Professional dancer Nikita walked off as he processed what had just happened, before circling back to hug an elated Layton. Craig told them: "The best Charleston I've seen in twenty years, darling, on this programme." The crowd also lent their support as they cheered loudly, whilst Layton was open-mouthed.
He and Nikita got a ten from each of the judges, with glowing praise from all of them. After receiving their scores, both Layton and Nikita broke down in tears, with Nikita getting particularly emotional as he paid tribute to Layton, whilst suggesting that Layton had been having problems in his personal life. He described the actor as the "most hardworking person I've been in a room with" as he praised him for "bringing joy to everyone".
He then said: "No matter what happens with your personal life," before continuing: "I'm not going to go into that". Nikita struggled to speak as his emotions overtook him, when he saw Layton crying. He said: "You always bring joy - seeing you cry makes me cry - you make me shine with how much you are shining, and honestly, you're one of my best friends.
