EastEnders fans have been left on the edge of their seats as Nish Panesar's fate was revealed after the Christmas attack.
The baddie, who was nearly killed off during a massive showdown on Christmas Day, survived his injuries after Denise Fox hit him over the head with a glass bottle. The drama didn't stop there, as Sharon Watts announced Nish was dead, only for Keanu Taylor to walk in and see everything. As he tried to run away with Sharon's son Albie, she told him that he wasn't Albie's dad, leading to a big argument.
Things took a turn for the worse when Keanu became violent and tried to strangle Sharon, which led to Linda Carter stabbing and killing him.
His body is now hidden under the floor of the burnt-out cafe, but there's been a worrying update. Builders turned up to start work on fixing the cafe at the request of Suki's son Vinny Panesar, causing panic among The Six. Suki managed to delay the works, persuading the men to give them a few days before they started again.
But there was another potential problem later in the episode, as Suki received news from the hospital about Nish. Nish has been in a coma since the attack, with only The Six knowing what really happened. The police got wind that Keanu attacked Nish and scarpered, leaving Nish in a bad way.
Nobody knew whether Nish would wake up or be left with lasting injuries from the attack, considering he'd stopped breathing at one point. On Monday, as Suki, Denise, and Kathy were chatting about moving Keanu's body, Suki's phone rang with the news she'd been hoping for. Just like that, it was confirmed that Nish had woken up and was no longer on life support, the verdict was he was stable.
