As Amos Selahor sat in the dock waiting to learn his fate, a story of a man with a dark past emerged. In court for a pub attack and a burglary at a Porsche dealership, he knew he was going down.
A catalogue of previous crimes were detailed as a judge considered the 38-year-old's sentence. Selahor, the court heard, is a killer.
He was just 15 when he punched a man unconscious. The man later died and Selahor was convicted of manslaughter.

He also has previous convictions for class A drug dealing and conspiracy to rob, Exeter Crown Court was told. And last year he was jailed for 14 weeks after he was convicted of a public order offence having exposed himself.
The court heard Selahor moved down south after being involved in a raid on a Porsche dealership in Ellesmere Port. Some £10,000-worth of goods were taken. He then broke 10 bones in a man's head after setting on him and kicking him in a pub in Devon.
He is now beginning yet another jail term following the garage raid and vicious pub assault, which happened in February and March last year.
The dealership in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, was targeted on the night of February 18, with items including an electric bike, watches and branded clothing taken. The court heard Selahor was collected in Salford on the night of the burglary by a co-defendant who drove from Blackpool.
Shortly after midnight, they broke the glass in the door of the showroom using a metal grille. Adrian Chaplin played the judge CCTV which showed three masked men. Selahor was seen wheeling out the electric bike while the other two followed carrying clothing and other items.
