Roxy Horner and Jack Whitehall have officially welcomed their first child together, as the couple announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram on September 6. Sharing a sweet snap of herself cradling their new daughter captioned: “The love of my life”, Roxy was shown holding the newborn in hospital, and alongside the adorable new arrival, we couldn’t help but notice her very appropriate baby girl-themed nails.
Roxy’s manicure was done in a gorgeous candy pink colour and featured letters spelling out “baby girl” across her nails in white cursive, with a heart painted on each thumb. The nail art was done by manicurist Nicolette Manesh, who shared a closer look at the manicure on her Instagram last week.
The pink shade was revealed to be a custom colour from Magpie Beauty, however you can get an almost identical shade with either the Ciaté London Plant Pots in shade Make Em Wink, £10 here, or the Rimmel x Tom Daley 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish Pick Me Pink, £3.99 here.
To recreate the baby-themed nail art, start by painting a couple of thin base layers of pink polish on your nails to create a solid, bold colour. For the lettering, you can use a white nail varnish, like the essie Nail Polish in shade Blanc, £7.19 here (was £8.99), and a fine bristled nail art brush if you’ve got a steady hand, or if you don’t quite trust your artistic skills, a nail art pen like the Bright White Mani Marker Nail Pen, £5 here, will help you get a smoother, easier application.
If you don’t think you’re quite up to the challenge of writing on your nails yourself )and don’t have a handy helper nearby), the Lottie X Chaun Legend Stay Press'd- Baby Girl, £7.95 here, press on nails are exactly what you need. For a slightly edgier take on
