Ajax have sent a message to Manchester United after the signing of Lisandro Martinez was confirmed this afternoon. United agreed a fee of £46.8million, rising to £55.3m, for Martinez on a five-year contract, plus an extra optional year.
The 24-year-old was spotted arriving at Carrington on Tuesday along with Christian Eriksen and the pair could make their first appearances for the club against Atletico Madrid or Rayo Vallecano this weekend.
Erik ten Hag's side reached an agreement to sign the Argentine defender 10 days ago, though the deal was still subject to a medical before it could be formally announced.

But on Thursday, the signing was made official, with Martinez becomes United's third signing of the summer after the additions of Tyrell Malacia and Eriksen.
His former side, Ajax, posted an emotional tribute video to the Argentine, who spent three years at the club, after being brought in to replace former captain Matthijs de Ligt, who joined Juventus that season. Martinez would quickly become a favourite under Ten Hag, and form a strong partnership alongside Perr Schuurs and Jurrien Timber, the latter who United also reportedly attempted to sign.
And after posting the video, the Dutch club also sent a message to Manchester United, demanding that they 'take care' of Martinez.
Martinez will become the eighth Argentinian to play for United after Juan Sebastian Veron, Gabriel Heinze, Carlos Tevez, Marcos Rojo, Angel di Maria, Sergio Romero and Alejandro Garnacho.
