A woman from Greater Manchester has been killed in a crash in Scotland. Helen Booth, 51, was one of two people who died following the three-vehicle smash on the A96 near Inverness on Monday (February 12).
Ms Booth, from Bolton, was a passenger in a Tesla which was involved in a collision with a HGV and a Citroen van. She was rushed to hospital following the crash, which took place around 12.10pm, but died a short time later.
Christopher Haycock, 53, the driver of the Tesla, was also taken to hospital but died on Wednesday, Police Scotland said.

A 23-year-old man, who was also a passenger in the Tesla, was also taken to Raigmore Hospital but was released following assessment. The driver of the Citroen van, a 37-year-old man, was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries, while the driver of the HGV, a 69-year-old man, was uninjured.
Police officers are now appealing for information as part of a probe into the incident.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: "Our thoughts are with the families and friends of Chris and Helen at this difficult time. We continue to support them and they have asked for their privacy to be respected.
"Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash. I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or anyone with information that could assist our investigation to please get in touch.
"Likewise, anyone with relevant dash-cam footage who has not already passed this to officers is asked to please contact us." Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1230 of Monday, 12 February, 2024.
