A public appeal has been launched after a woman was approached by an unknown man 'impersonating a police officer' in Urmston last weekend.
At around 10.30pm on Sunday night (March 10) a woman reported that she was approached by the man, who was driving a black car with five doors.
Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information following the incident, as the force said no further details were provided when it was reported to them. The male was described as being of a slim build, with short brown hair and wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit top.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "[We] need your help concerning an incident that occurred on Sunday, March 10th at around 10:30 pm.
"A female reported that an unknown male impersonating a police officer approached her in the in the Urmston area. The impersonator was driving a black car with five doors, but no further details were provided.
"Unfortunately, the police have very limited information about the incident, which is why they are appealing to the public for help. The male has been described as having a slim build with short dark brown hair and was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit top at the time of the incident."
