The King made a triumphant return to the public stage on Tuesday, 30 April as he visited the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre alongside Queen Camilla.This return saw the King warmly talk to and hold hands with many cancer patients, while also speaking with experts at the centre.The monarch was praised by many for the high-spirited way he has tackled his diagnosis with former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond telling OK!: "It was the perfect place to return. I think the King looked very well as he arrived at the hospital. "He deliberately lingered at the entrance making sure the cameras and the public got a good view of him.

The King made his much-anticipated return to the public stage on Tuesday, 30 April as he and Queen Camilla visited the Macmillan Cancer Centre at University College Hospital in London. After a long period of recovery and recuperation, the King looked happy and relieved to be back to work and doing what he does best and meeting members of the public and learning about the work the researchers do.

Following the uplifting news that King Charles is set to return to public-facing duties in the coming days and weeks, a leading royal expert has praised the way the monarch has been "determined to brush aside adversity" and get back to work. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond exclusively told OK!: "A positive outlook is said to be a real boost to anyone undergoing cancer treatment and, from what we know, King Charles has been focused from the start on getting through this as quickly as possible and getting back to normal." Jennie's comments come after a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "His Majesty’s medical team are very encouraged by the progress made so far and remain positive about the King’s continued recovery.” On the progress the King has made, Jennie added: “His healthy regime, diet and love of exercise must all have helped him with his recovery.

The King is to return to public royal duties after the positive effect of cancer treatment. King Charles has been receiving care as an outpatient since early February and the announcement will be a boost for the monarchy as it comes to terms with the King and the Princess of Wales being cancer patients.

Even though the Grand National Festival will take place at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday, 13 April, it is not expected that King Charles will be in attendance as he continues to focus on his recovery following his cancer diagnosis.
