She beams with pride when discussing this moment in her life. The daughter of a Chinese immigrant who was a single mother, Hsu has been talking with her family and friends about the road that’s led her to this moment — including her best friend Alan, who told her she did it without having to be “born into this industry,” or a family friend emailing her mother to recall the time she brought a young Hsu to the friend’s house intending to convince her to study business. “Aren’t you glad she didn’t?” the friend wrote.

A24, the indie studio behind the Oscar-nominated film, is auctioning off the props from the zany sci-fi adventure for charity. Fans will be able to bid on the original decor, wardrobe and set pieces from the multiversal “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” including but not limited to the taxidermy stuffed raccoon called Raccacoonie, Deirdre Beaubeirdree’s Auditor of the Year trophy (that, yes, doubles as a butt plug), Jobu Tupaki’s Elvis jumpsuit and the Rockverse rocks (a delight of Colin Farrell’s). The online bidding for A24’s auction starts on Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. PT and closes on March 2 at 12 p.m. PT. The movie follows four friends as they take a wild trip through Asia.“Joy Ride” stars “Everything Everywhere All at Once” Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu, “Emily in Paris” star Ashley Park, Sherry Cola and Sabrina Wu as four friends who, according to the official plot synopsis, “embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure.” When Park’s business trip in Asia goes awry, she calls on her friends to salvage the trip and it turns into a much wilder excursion than they could have ever imagined.
