Mark Labbett, known as The Beast on ITV's The Chase, has become a popular figure among fans since he first appeared on the show in 2009. The TV star was born in Tiverton in 1965 and attended Bishop Wordsworth's School in Salisbury, Wiltshire.The now 58 year old boasts an impressive education, including a Master of Arts degree in mathematics from Exeter College, Oxford. After his studies, Mark moved to Caldicot, Monmouthshire, in 1998, where he worked as a maths and PE supply teacher at Caldicot School and his love for quizzes began while working at Butlins holiday camp.
