K.J. Yossman Max’s first Spanish Original series “When Nobody Sees Us” has assembled an all-star cast including “The Flash” actor Maribel Verdú, “Mission Impossible’s” Mariela Garriga and Austin Amelio from “Fear The Walking Dead.” Ben Temple (“Upon Entry”) and Dani Rovira (“El campeón”) are also set to star in the show, which is based on Sergio Sarria’s novel of the same name. Set during Holy Week in southern Spain’s Morón de la Frontera, Verdú plays Lucía Gutiérrez, a seargant in the Civil Guard who’s investigating the unexpected death of a neighbor, ostensibly by suicide.

Warner Bros. Pictures and DC’s The Flash, which hit theaters in June, now has a date for its streaming debut on Max: the superhero pic starring Ezra Miller will bow Friday, August 25.

Netflix’s longest-running Spanish scripted series Elite has landed an eighth season.

Netflix has revealed Season 7 of its popular Spanish YA drama series Elite will premiere on October 20. The streamer announced the news Saturday during its Tudum fan event where it also unveiled a teaser trailer (with subtitles) for the upcoming season (see it above).

They are given 60 minutes to select one person to die but he or she has to agree to be sacrificed. The grim alternative is for all of them to lose their lives. As the clock winds down, their darkest secrets are revealed and they realize they are all somehow connected to a shadowy past.

Apple TV+ released the first trailer for its upcoming bilingual drama series Now & Then, starring Rosie Perez, Manolo Cardona, Marina de Tavira, José María Yazpik, Soledad Villamil, and Maribel Verdú, among others. Three of the 8 episodes will be released on May 20 with the remaining episodes dropping weekly every Friday through June 24.

Apple TV+ has set a stellar ensemble cast for its bilingual thriller Now and Then, a drama that will be shot in Spanish and English.

Jamie Lang Spanish broadcaster RTVE and production companies Tornasol and DeAPlaneta have teamed with German production-sales company ZDF Enterprises on “ANA. all in,” a legal thriller starring Maribel Verdú based on Spanish author Roberto Santiago’s best-seller “Ana.” Representing the series internationally, ZDFE will be presenting the series at MipT.

Ron Livingston has been tapped to play Henry Allen, father of the Flash aka Barry Allen, in Warner Bros. and DC Films The Flash. Crudup fell off the project due to scheduling conflicts. Ezra Miller is on board to play the title character with Kiersey Clemons set to play Iris West. Sasha Calle is also on board to play Super Girl in the film and Maribel Verdu will play Barry’s mom.

In a move that feels very much at home but Barry Allen, “The Flash” movie lost one parent but gained another. While Billy Crudup will not be reprising his role as Henry Allen in the upcoming film, “Y Tu Mamá También” actress Maribel Verdu has joined the cast as Barry’s mother, Nora, instead.
